# The domain does not open after installation

Installation completed, but the site does not open by domain, or an old hosting page opens instead of the platform.

### Symptoms

* the browser says that the site is unavailable;
* an old hosting placeholder page opens;
* the domain points to another server;
* the storefront opens only by IP or does not open at all;
* Telegram Mini App cannot load the catalog.

### Possible causes

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="DNS" %}
The domain's A record does not point to the new server's IP, or DNS has not yet updated.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Firewall" %}
The hosting provider's external firewall or security group is blocking the ports `80` and `443`.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Old service" %}
An old site, old control panel, or another reverse proxy is still running on the domain.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

### What to check

Check the server IP:

```bash
curl -4 ifconfig.me
```

Check where the domain points:

```bash
dig +short example.com
```

Check edge:

```bash
sudo /opt/bloggers_platform/manager.sh status
```

### How to fix it

1. Make sure the domain's A record points to this server's IP.
2. Open the TCP ports `80` and `443` in the hosting control panel.
3. Wait for DNS to update if the record was changed recently.
4. Restart edge if DNS and firewall have already been fixed:

```bash
sudo /opt/bloggers_platform/manager.sh restart
```

{% hint style="info" %}
DNS may not update instantly. Sometimes after changing the record, you need to wait even if the installation has already completed successfully.
{% endhint %}

### When to contact support

If the domain points to the correct IP, the ports are open, but the site does not respond, attach the output of `manager.sh status` and the last lines of the edge logs.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://vitrina-blogerov.gitbook.io/bloggers-showcase/product-docs/product-docs-en/possible-errors/the-domain-does-not-open-after-installation.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
