# A post to the channel or a mailing is not sent

The mailing does not reach some users, publishing to the channel returns a Telegram error, or the statistics show blocked users.

### Symptoms

* the mailing was sent to not everyone;
* some users are marked as `blocked`;
* the post is not being published to the channel;
* Telegram returns a permissions error;
* the button in the post did not appear;
* the channel does not accept a message from the bot.

### Possible causes

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Mailings" %}
Users blocked the bot, did not start it, or Telegram rejected the message.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Channel" %}
The bot was not added as a channel administrator or does not have permission to publish.
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="CHANNEL\_ID" %}
An incorrect channel ID is specified in the admin panel.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

### What to check

Check the bot service logs:

```bash
sudo /opt/bloggers_platform/apps/ru/manager.sh logs bot
```

Check the settings in the admin panel:

* Telegram bot token;
* `CHANNEL_ID`;
* bot permissions in the channel;
* the user list and mailing statuses.

### How to fix it

1. Add the bot as an administrator of the target channel.
2. Make sure that the channel ID is specified, not a regular link.
3. For mailings, keep in mind that users who blocked the bot will not receive messages.
4. Clear users with status `blocked`, if they are no longer needed in the database.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Telegram does not allow the bot to write to users who have never started the bot. Mailing works only for the user base that has already interacted with the bot.
{% endhint %}

### When to contact support

If the bot is an administrator of the channel, `CHANNEL_ID` is specified correctly, but the publication does not go through, logs are needed `bot` with a Telegram error.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://vitrina-blogerov.gitbook.io/bloggers-showcase/product-docs/product-docs-en/possible-errors/a-post-to-the-channel-or-a-mailing-is-not-sent.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
